The Front Door Has Moved
The evaluator has changed, and partners hold the keys.

ACE lens: Content, what evidence can an AI evaluator find, and who wrote it? (Community, Clubs, and Value Proposition, Diamonds) · Maturity Level 3, partner-asset design
Look closely and something of interest appears: the source tied with AI is industry experts and analysts, and the source that collapsed is the vendor’s own website.
The evaluator at the front door has changed. What it trusts is third-party evidence, which is exactly what a partner ecosystem produces, or should.

01
The two vendor-owned sources now rank last.
IDC describes AI tools (46%) and industry experts and analysts (45%) as statistically tied as the top evaluation source. Vendor websites have fallen from 66% to 37%, and the vendor salesperson sits at 33%.
02
Buyers say delegation is the next step.
Today 54% use AI as an intermediary for RFI/RFP and configuration tasks, and 74% say they will delegate buying tasks to AI agents. IDC forecasts 42% of B2B buying journeys executed autonomously by agents by 2029.
03
The scrutiny is formalising faster than the capability.
90% of enterprise legal buyers are writing AI clauses into their guidelines, which act as formal triggers to challenge unsupported vendor claims. Only 3.1% of organisations have reached IDC’s Optimized AI maturity stage, and EMEA trails at 2.4%.

Bottom line
Vendor-owned sources are losing trust while independent, third-party sources hold it. Co-sell records, partner case studies, certified integrations and marketplace reviews are evidence a vendor cannot write about itself, and most programmes structure none of it for an AI evaluator to find.
